OBRA CAFÉ WCC

Cell time:

1. What are we trying to do now or trying to accomplish in our daily life routine?

2. What are the things in our lives that we are trusting God for?

3. When we say we trust God, how does faith come in? when does it come?

4. A. how does God’s grace work when we trust? B. how does trusting God become possible?

HEBREWS 11:1

To answer #3: when we trust God in literally everything, our lives included, that is faith. It comes in believing that we can do anything in Christ; it comes in our desperate moments when we are humanly exhausted that leads us to acknowledge that we do meaningless things and accomplish works of no purpose without God in it. It is seeking His face, not just His hands.

#4: God’s grace can actually work and carry us through the hard times when we fully trust and patiently wait in faith. Since faith will sustain us while waiting, the power of God in the form of grace will arrive on the scene and on time to set us free from anything that holds us or causes us to be immobile. But we have to be very careful that we don’t focus more on our faith instead of on the Lord from whom our faith is sourced and based on.

“GOD’S GRACE IS MADE AVAILABLE THROUGH HIS CRUCIFIXION and WE HAVE A WINNING and LIVING FAITH BECAUSE OF THE RESURRECTION.”

ROMANS 1:5; 10:17

LAMENT. 3:28-30

“THE SECRET OF WAITING IS THE FAITH THAT THE SEED HAS BEEN PLANTED, THAT SOMETHING HAS BEGUN.” – AUTHOR HENRI NOUWEN

God never hurries. Through waiting, our transformation is accomplished (though it’s a slow process) because God is doing what we cannot.
